Hermine What To Expect
Coastal Flooding The Only Remaining Issue
Satellite loops clearly show post tropical storm Hermine is well to the east. In fact it is over 200 miles further east than any of the models had it. Those 200 miles meant everything in this instance because the storm will only hook back to west of 70 west. This changed everything. Now the remaining issue is the extent of coastal flooding. While tides will be above normal, I’m openly wondering how much coastal flooding there will actually be.
Radars this evening show nothing other than the westernmost edge of some of Hermine’s rains way offshore. Nothing from the standpoint of rain will get even close. In fact we may go all week without seeing a drop of rain.

Other than some clouds coming in along the coast tonight, inland it should be mostly clear with lows in the 50s in the western and northern counties and in the low 60s along the coast and in normally warmer urban areas.
