Blizzard 2016 Ends
Blizzard 2016 Ends with 20 to 30 inches on average. Records were broken. In one swoop we went from no snow this winter to near normal for the entire season!!! Now we can spend the rest of the weekend digging out. The only remaining issue overnight will be whatever patches of leftover snow are still around and blowing snow that will reduce visibility to near zero at times. Travel is not going to resume to some sense of normalcy until sometime Sunday.
Sunday we should see sunshine with breezy conditions but much less wind that today as the storm pulls away and high pressure builds in. After lows overnight in the teens to lower 20s, highs will be back into the 30s on Sunday.
Sunday night with the deep snow cover, if skies are clear and winds are light, temperatures will drop to teens and single digits in many locations. Warmer urban areas will be in the lower 20s. Monday look for some sunshine and milder temperatures with highs in the 30s to near 40.
The next change could come Tuesday with a front that might produce a few rain showers with highs in the 40s!
So let’s see..we had
25-35 inches of snow
A super el nino
a super storm with minimal blocking (if you want to call it that0
a record warm November
a record warm December
a hurricane in January
above normal snowfall for the winter for most areas

The world is rapidly coming to an end!
