More Rain Arriving Before The Blast Furnace
The next round of rain is getting ready to move in as moisture of the Gulf of Mexico moves northward. Radar and satellite loops look fairly impressive this morning and the hope is another round of up to an inch of rain in some places. This is the fourth time it has rained in the area over the last 10 days which is more then we have seen over the prior 2 months. The increasing frequency of rain events bodes well for making some serious dents in the drought deficit.
Once we are done with the rains this evening we will dry out as winds go west southwest. This sets us up for a mix of sun and clouds on Thursday and there is nothing to stop temperatures from rising into the 70s in many areas. We will see not only record highs but depending on how much sun, we could see all time record highs for the month of December being set. Christmas day will be cooler but still warm enough for some record highs with some sun and clouds. The weekend may bring more rain on Saturday with highs in the 50s..and then another warm day on Sunday with some sunshine and highs again near records in the 60s.
