HOT TEMPS WITH HIGHER HUMIDITY. NO THUNDERSTORMS ON RADAR YET

We are at the highs for the day and temps are in the upper 80s to low 90s. Humidity levels are up but they aren’t oppressive as the dew points on average are in the low 60s. On Long Island the dew points are in the mid 60s so it is a bit more humid and that is thanks to the south wind.severerisk

It appears the risk for severe weather so far is well to the north where watches are posted for severe thunderstorms. As of post time there is a a narrow line of thunderstorms in Northeastern Pennsylvania that extends northward. Not much is going on elsewhere. Some storms should move through parts of the area between now and midnight.

Tuesday lower humidity and sunshine will be here. We will be setting up for northeast winds and maybe a soaking rain for Thursday into Friday. MOre on this later on this evening.
