HOT BUT DRY TODAY BUT THEN MORE HUMID MONDAY..HOT BUT TURNING LESS HUMID DURING TUESDAY; AMERICAN PHAROAH!

We actually got a little reinforcement of dry air today which will keep humidity low and there will be plenty of sunshine. Temperatures will make a run for 90 in some areas but it will be comfortable.
sunday
The next cold front begins its approach tomorrow but because the air is so dry it is going to do so rather slowly. Monday will be hot and more uncomfortable but not truly oppressive. While there is the chance for an isolated thunderstorm the chances look pretty low overall and most won’t see one
monday
Monday night the front will get close enough that there could be some showers and thunderstorms scattered around in some areas but the front passes offshore Tuesday morning. Tuesday looks to be very warm or even hot in some areas with highs in the upper 80s to lower 90s but humidity levels will be dropping as the day wears on.
tuesday
The second half of the week looks a bit more unsettled especially from Thursday on with this front stalling to the south and a series of waves will be moving along it. Some showers or even a period of rain is possible in the Thursday through Saturday time frame.

Finally American Pharoah the triple crown winner will be running in the Haskill Invitational. Post time is 5:52 pm. Temperatures will be near 90 at race time with a fast track. Pharoah will probably be 1:5 odds on to win and it is hard to argue against this. Upstart was considered a threat but after scratching out of the Jim Dandy at Saratoga he also scratched out of the Haskill. It is Pharoah’s race to lose.
