Heavy Snow Moving West to East
Winter Storm Winding Down Overnight
This winter storm is turning out to be quite the out-performer in many areas. Heavy snow continues right now over parts of Northeastern New Jersey and the Hudson Valley, east across NYC & Long Island (except Eastern Suffolk and the immediate coast) as well as most of Connecticut. The area will be expanding across the rest of Southern & Southeastern New England before this all moves away during th the early morning hours.

LOCAL RADAR PHILADELPHIA
Radars are beginning to show the western edge of the snow moving out of Pennsylvania and Western New Jersey and it should be ending to the east over the next 3 or 4 hours. Accumulations of 3 to 6 inches seem to be the average so far across a large area of Northern New Jersey to the Hudson Valley and SW Connecticut. Over Long Island the north shore (north of the Long Island Expressway which cuts the island in half from east to west seems to be the dividing line as there is far less on the south shore and far more toward the north. Up to 3 inches or so in some places on the north shore and there will be additional snow between now and 1am before it all moves out to the east. Weather conditions improve Sunday with sunshine and highs in the 40s so everything melts.
