The onshore flow continues today but there is a bit more moisture around. This is producing cloud cover as evident on the satellite picture this morning It is not a solid overcast for everyone. This should be a partly sunny day for most though clearly some areas will have more clouds than others. The cloud cover and the ocean wind will go a long way in keeping temperatures down somewhat as highs should be mostly in the 70s.

Radars aren’t showing very much at the moment and other than a pop up spot shower or two the radars should be relatively quiet. We are seeing some echos showing up on the locals but it looks to be aloft and not reaching the ground.

Tonight we start to turn the winds to the south and then southwest which sets us up for a warm more humid night with lows in the 60s to near 70. Wednesday look for a very warm to borderline hot day with some sunshine. Highs will reach 85 to near 90 in most places. It will be slightly cooler along the shore. The next cold front brings a chance for a shower or thunderstorm Wednesday night but it is a weak cold front that is moving through.

There might be a shower or thunderstorm when the front passes early Thursday but no widespread activity is forecast. Then the next high to the north begins to build in later on Thursday. Temperatures Thursday will be a little lower with partly sunny skies and highs between 80 and 85. Friday brings the onshore flow back as the high moves to the coast of Maine and and east wind develops. This likely brings clouds on Friday with highs in the 70s.

It is back in the other direction on Saturday as winds go southwest ahead of another weak cold front. Look for partly sunny skies and there is the chance for a scattered shower or thunderstorm when the front goes by. Highs will be in the 80s. Sunday will also be warm since the cold front is weak and the air behind the front is about the same as the air ahead of it. Look for partly sunny skies Sunday with highs into the 80s. Also we will be watching disturbed weather south and east of the Bahamas this morning that will cross Florida and head into the eastern Gulf of Mexico. This may have a chance of developing into a tropical cyclone n the long range as it heads northwestward. The tropics as a whole are showing weak weather systems across the tropical Atlantic. None of them pose a threat of developing into a tropical cyclone over the next couple of days.
