Freezing Rain Possible Inland Overnight
We have a very intense storm heading up into South Central Canada but it is so far to the west that it is pulling all the warm air to our west for the moment at least. This has left a pocket of cold air over the Northeast at the moment with precipitation on the radar not that far away. This opens a small risk for a little freezing rain across Northwest New Jersey Connecticut (North of RT 15) and for the Hudson Valley but the rain should be light and not overly problematic. Eventually the warm air to the west and south will move in and temperatures should rise from south to north during the early morning hours. By Tuesday we will be rising through the 40s and 50s and some 60s are possible late in the day from Central and Southern New Jersey and the Southern half of Pennsylvania southward. Some showers will be moving into the picture as well.

You can see the leading edge of the rain on the regional radar loop above as it gets close to South Central Pennsylvania and North Central Maryland. For the commute tonight around NYC & PHL and all the surrounding areas there are no weather issues to be concerned with.

We will see the threat for showers into Tuesday night until a cold front passes. Wednesday we will see clouds and some sunshine with highs reaching the upper 50s to mid 60s before colder air from Canada begins to seep southward Wednesday night and Thursday. This will set us up for the first of 2 snow threats on Friday with a second one on Sunday.
