Father’s Day Weather Showers Around

Now that we got rid of the heat we are looking ahead to Father’s Day weekend & Father’s day weather. First things first weather conditions are slowly improving today as clouds continue to sink southward and sunshine increases. Temperatures are still rather warm at the moment with readings in the mid 70s to some lower 80s. Humidity levels are dropping and the strong June sun is making it feel warmer than it actually is.

The satellite loop continues to show dry air moving down from the north as high pressure in Southeastern Canada slowly builds in. This will leave us in clear skies tonight with most lows in the 50s to near 60. Thursday is looking like a nice day with sunshine and highs in the 70s except it will be in the 60s along the coast thanks to an onshore wind.

Moisture will begin coming back on Friday as the cold front becomes a warm front and starts moving northward. This will bring clouds and the chance for showers Friday along with temperatures in the 60s along the coast and low to mid 70s inland. By the time we get to Saturday the flow will start to back to the south and a slow moving cold front to the west will begin to inch eastward. That front probably won’t get here until Tuesday so look for clouds and the chance for showers through at least Monday. It will not be raining all the time and there will be long dry stretches with some sun. It will also be warm and humid as temperatures make their way back into the 80s. But there won’t be any extreme heat to deal with.
