Drying Out Showery Pattern
Now that low pressure has moved out to the northeast we have a second low sitting just off shore. We are getting a little enhancement of the onshore flow this morning but this should relax and with a little luck, clouds will break apart this afternoon especially away from the ocean. This should allow temperatures to rise back into the 50s. The second disturbance is weaker and it is getting pushed along by a weather system sitting in the Great Lakes. You can see cloud roatation going on in the western part of the Great Lakes which is the next weather system for Wednesday.

Regional radar shows rain moving offshore eastern New England and the radars should dry up nicely for the rest of the day. No further threat for showers is forecast through Wednesday morning. Temperatures this afternoon should reach into and in some cases through the 50s depending on whether the clouds break up. Near some coastal areas where it stays overcast, temperatures may struggle to get out of the 40s.

Overnight should be dry and skies should be partially clear everywhere however the next weather system lines up for later Wednesday. This one goes to our north and with that will be an arm of moisture rotating around it. This could produce a few passing showers Wednesday afternoon into Wednesday evening. Highs will reach the upper 50s and lower 60s.

Once that system goes by yet another one is coming later on Thursday with some possible passing showers or some light rain as we transition over to colder temperatures going into and through the weekend. As to the possible storm threat for Sunday, I have been unimpressed so far and have taken a stand against it. After reviewing some of the overnight models, I continue to stand against it. There remain numerous issues in the upper air pattern and I will discuss those later today.
