Looking both short and long range on both models the prospects for another soaking rain are just not good. Other than an isolated thunderstorm Saturday, and perhaps later on Tuesday, the pattern looks dry from a precip standpoint and very warm to hot with the exception of tomorrow which will feature a fair amount of sunshine with fair weather clouds. There could be a spotty shower in Northeast Pennsylvania and the Catskills and that is just about it. Tonight looks cool with clearing skies and optimal viewing for the Perseid Meteor Shower. Just find a nice place with no street lights around. Temperatures will be in the 60s with 50s in cool spots. Highs Thursday should reach the lower 80s on average in most places.
Temperatures begin their climb on Friday and should reach the mid to upper 80s though the humidity will be reasonable. Over the weekend the humidity goes up a bit and temperatures do as well. Highs will be in the upper 80s to some lower 90s both Saturday and Sunday.
Monday and Tuesday look like the 2 hottest days with Tuesday seeing temperatures reaching the middle 90s in some places before a weak (and i mean weak) weather front tries to come on through. It might cool it off a little Wednesday and Thursday depending on clouds but precip will be sparse.
The long range keeps it very warm or hot late in the 10 day period as the jet stream lifts northward into Canada and stays there until further notice.
Enjoy the relative cool weather of Thursday before the heat returns. Thanks to tropical tidbits for the maps.
