Dry Chilly Weekend Not Much In The Cards For Week Ahead
Our weekend is underway and we are going to see any clouds this morning give way to sunshine as the day wears on. Low pressure that brought snow to Western and Central North Carolina as well as Southwestern Virginia is moving away to the east offshore. Winds will pick up a bit as they back around to a northerly direction. Temperatures today will be in the upper 30s and lower 40s.
SATELLITE
There are no issues on the regional radars for both New England and the Middle Atlantic States. The radars should be rather quiet for the rest of the weekend and into Monday
Tonight should see clear skies and it will be another chilly night with lows in the 20s to near 30. Sunday looks nice and sunny breezy and cold with highs in the upper 30s and lower 40s. Monday should still be dry with sunshine and perhaps some high clouds later in the day. Highs again will be in the upper 30s and lower 40s.
It isn’t very often that we go 10 days without any precipitation but weather models have gone from showing storminess in the long range to showing little or nothing other than cold fronts coming through and even those come through dry. Tuesday we have another southern stream low that will pass to the south. This system is weak and might produce a little rain as far north as Southern New Jersey for a few hours on Tuesday. A cold front will pass on Friday with little fan fare and colder air behind it. Otherwise the week ahead looks uneventful.
