Downpours Thunderstorms Monday Monday Night Dry Warm Tuesday

We still have more more day of decent weather to finish off this rain free weekend. While we still see some high clouds streaming through from time to time there are a lot of clears stretches across Pennsylvania to New Jersey and Southern New England. After a nice day of sunshine we are seeing clear skies mixed with some high clouds overnight with lows in the 50s inland and 60 to 65 warmer urban centers and along the coast.

REGIONAL RADAR

storm free

Radar doesn’t show any precipitation anywhere close by. There are some echos showing up over the coastal waters but judging from the satellite these are very light and for the most part not reaching the ground. They are of no consequence to us overnight or Sunday. High pressure holds on for one more day but there will be some clouds advancing northward out of Virginia that could reach Southern Pennsylvania, Delaware and Southern New Jersey Sunday morning and then creep northward. I still believe for most of Eastern Pennsylvania to Southern New England it will be a nice day with sunshine giving way to some high clouds. Highs will be in the 70s with 60s along the immediate coast. Winds will be more east and southeast on Sunday which will hold temperatures back somewhat. No rain is forecast.

Downpours Thunderstorms Monday Monday Night Dry Warm Tuesday

Clouds will increase Sunday night and it will set us up for 2 rounds of downpours Monday and Monday night. I don’t think it rains straight through. Rain moves into Southern New Jersey and Southeastern Pennsylvania around 4am Monday and reaches NYC around 10am. It then starts to end from south to north during the afternoon and evening.

Downpours Thunderstorms Monday Monday Night Dry Warm Tuesday

A second round of downpours and thunderstorms moves through from the west with a cold front Monday night into Tuesday morning during the early morning hours. Then the front moves offshore with weather conditions improving for Tuesday. Look for increasing amounts of sunshine Tuesday with afternoon highs into the 70s.
