Cool Week Ahead Showers Thunderstorms Wednesday Night Into Thursday
A cold front is to the east and south but we need a wave to go by in order to get some clearing of skies. Note that we do have dry air to the northwest not that far away so once the wave moves to the east of Virginia and offshore, we should see clouds decreasing and sunshine increasing from northwest to southeast later today. Rain is done as what is on the radar passes south across Virginia and Maryland. Temperatures today will be on the cool side with highs in the lower 60s in most places and upper 50s north and northwest of warmer urban centers and the coast.

Skies will be partly to mostly clear tonight across Eastern Pennsylvania to Southern New England and Long Island. Morning lows will be in the upper 30s to middle 40s from inland to warmer urban centers and the coast. Tuesday is shaping up to be a nice sunny day with high temperatures in the 60s except for 50s along the immediate coast as the south wind takes hold.
Tuesday night a warm front will attempt to pass through as it moves southwest to northeast across Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Look for some showers to develop in some places late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. The warm front is not likely to have much success in moving northward so temperatures Wednesday will be probably holding in the 60s, cooler at the coast. An approaching cold front brings showers and possibly a few thunderstorms late in the day Wednesday into Wednesday night.
The cold front is going to again slow down as low pressure develops on it and is probably nearby Thursday. This will leave us in clouds and lingering showers at least for the early part of the day. Weather conditions could start to improve later in the day Thursday leading to a better day Friday. Temperatures both days will be topping out in the 60s. The weekend right now is looking dry with some sunshine both days, and we could see warmer temperatures reaching back into the upper 70s and even the 80s.
