Cold Unstable Air Means More Showers Possible
Looking at the satellite loop this morning not much has changed in the Eastern US. The strong upper air storm remains pretty much in the same spot It continues to rotate counterclockwise which means more spokes like on a bicycle wheel will be moving through. Clouds will be around today again along with some breaks of sun and the chance for showers or a thunderstorm. We actually saw some develop yesterday evening around the NYC, Lower Hudson Valley NE New Jersey area. They could happen anywhere today and the best chances will be in the afternoon and evening. You can see a few around this morning on the radars below.

Temperatures continue their stair step decline. Highs today just in the upper 50s to lower 60s at best and many areas wont see 60 today. Monday will be even cooler with highs not out of the 50s with clouds mixed with some sunshine.
Dry cool weather continues into midweek though there will be disturbances passing by to our south. The flow remains cool with temperatures continuing below average for much if not all of this week. Some possibilities for rain next weekend but there are some details to be worked out yet. We will address these issues later today.
