Clouds Around Today Calm Weather Into Wednesday
We have arrived to a post Dorian world however what was Dorian is now a large extratropical cyclone over New Foundland and it is still driving the weather pattern across the Northeast US. We are seeing clouds around on the satellite this morning in an east west fashion. It isn’t a solid overcast everywhere; some places are partly sunny others not so much.
There is a weak cold front that is going to be moving through this afternoon. It won’t have much with it other than these clouds but there should be breaks of sunshine in the mix. High temperatures will be in the 70s. The front will pass offshore and allow high pressure from the Great Lakes to build in for the next couple of days keeping things dry and calm. The regional radar is quiet today and so are the local radars.

Once the front passes tonight skies should partially clear with lows in the 50s in most places except for the warmer urban centers and coastal areas which will settle in the low 60s. Monday and Tuesday both look to be partly sunny days with highs mostly in the 70s and no real issues.
This week seems to be about weak weather systems moving through and the next one to arrive will be on Wednesday. It actually will turn warmer and more humid Wednesday with clouds and sun. Highs will reach the low and mid 80s. We could see a few showers Wednesday night in what appears to be a moisture limited atmosphere. Thursday will still be on the warm side with clouds and some sun and highs into the 80s. Then we deal with onshore flow, clouds and the chance for some showers in the Friday through Sunday time frame though again weather systems do appear to be on the weak side. All in all not a picture perfect week ahead but not a bad one by any means.
