Cindy Remnants Move Through Saturday Morning

With Tropical Storm Cindy now on land it will weaken to a remnant low and carry an area of rain northeastward toward us and it does look like it will impact our weather for the first part of Saturday. What I’m not sure of is how. It seems to me that this may wind up being a rather narrow band of heavy downpours that moves through rather quickly Saturday morning and not an all out overrunning rain that lasts for hours and hours. Once that moves through weather conditions should improve from west to east during Saturday afternoon and Sunday looks like a nice sunny day to finish off the weekend. Temperatures Saturday will reach into the 80s and the same holds for Sunday.

Meanwhile it is beautiful start to this Thursday with lots of sunshine though you can see the moisture and high clouds moving northward from Tropical Storm Cindy on the satellite loop. We will enjoy sunshine most of the day with perhaps some high clouds later this afternoon inching in. Highs will be in the low to mid 80s with comfortable humidity. Then clouds will increase and thicken up tonight.

Radars are obviously quiet for the time being and will remain so today. As for Friday I think that there will be downpours and some thunderstorms running around I don’t think it is an all day affair so there will be dry stretches. it will be very warm and huimd with highs in the 80s. Then the cold front approaches Friday night with the remnant low from Cindy passing by to our south Saturday morning. That brings a period of downpours here Saturday morning which will move out and then it should begin to improve rather quickly from west to east Saturday afternoon.

RAINFALL FORECAST FRIDAY INTO SATURDAY AFTERNOON

As far as rainfall totals go, no doubt some areas taht get into some heavier thunderstorms could wind up with a couple of inches while others will receive far less. There will be quite a bit of variation from place to place. Sunday for sure will be fine with lots of sunshine so make sure you have outdoor plans scheduled for Sunday.
