Chance of Snow Rain Thursday Night Into Friday

While all the internet chatter continues to circle around the Sunday storm, we have given it causal mention and have spoken about it only in a broad context. Unless you are on my subscription platform where we have spent more time on it, it has always been my position not to talk about a second system when there is one to deal with first and that is the case this time around. Before we even get to that we have the next 2 days which frankly, will be quite nice. Skies are clear on the satellite loop this morning and the radars are quiet. Yes it is cold with temperatures this morning in the teens and low 20s in most places. We should see a nice rebound this afternoon with highs in the mid to upper 30s with a fair amount of sunshine to enjoy and not much in the way of wind. That is usually a hard combination to achieve this time of year.

A clear cold night lies ahead of us tonight with most lows in the 20s to near 30. Then on Wednesday a weak cold front approaches with sunshine and patchy clouds. We should reach into the 40s before the front passes and no rain or snow is forecast. Colder air comes back in but no big blast for Wednesday night and Thursday as a high goes to the north. Then we watch low pressure coming across the lower Ohio Valley and it heads right toward us for Thursday night into Friday morning.

This obviously is not a big deal. Then weather conditions improve for Friday night into Saturday before the Sunday storm system moves in.

Continued conversation, weather discussion and an early call map on the weekend storm is available on the PATREON weather platform..
