Blizzard 2016 Heads To The Finish Line
We are not at the end yet but we are perhaps at the beginning of the end of the Blizzard of 2016 First off the satellite loop shows just how impressive this storm is. The coastal low is beginning to slowly edge its way east northeast and the clouds on the northwest side have stopped moving to the northwest and are beginning to sink to the southeast across Pennsylvania and Western New York. We still have more snow to get through however and there are still some heavy snow bands showing up on the radar below.

The radar is also showing what could be some thunderstorms in Western New Jersey between route 80 and 78. Regardless there could some massive snowfall rates going on in those bands. That band extends back toward New York City and Long Island. Local amounts to 30 to 40 inches or even higher cannot be ruled out.
