Sunshine Dry Sunday Into Tuesday No Rain Until Wednesday Night At The Earliest

We have an absolutely beautiful Sunday. No question about it the weather is just about picture perfect. The satellite pictures today are showing mainly clear skies with the exception of Eastern New England where we still have some leftover cloud issues to deal with today. However it is nice and sunny from Southern New England to Virginia and it will remain so for the rest of the day. No issues on the radar as showers are long gone. We may have to wait until Wednesday evening or Wednesday night to get any kind of shower activity. It may very well be the only day during the work week that we see rain. Temperatures today will

Dry air and high pressure are in full control from the Great Lakes to the MIddle Atlantic states into Monday night. Then the high slides east and we warm up but there is a nice strong ridge in the Eastern US that will protect us from stormy weather over the Mississippi Valley and the Great Lakes.

We are on the edge of a dry northwest flow through Tuesday. The ridge will eventually give way but the trough is so far west that all the energy from that including the remnant low of Cristobal will form an extratropical storm and head toward James Bay in Canada. The cold front that extends south of that is weak and the flow of moisture into it is weak. Therefore Tuesday will be sunny with highs reaching the low and middle 80s. Humidity levels will still be reasonable.

Wednesday will be a warm and somewhat more humid day as a cold front approaches. There will be some sunshine however and highs will reach in the 80s again. Some showers or a thunderstorm could approach late in the day or Wednesday evening but this cold front is rather weak.

This should be followed by some sunshine returning Thursday into Friday. Highs will be in the upper 70s and lower 80s both days. Next weekend we have another front approaching Friday night that will likely stall out along the coast and that could create complications for next weekend. We have all week to deal with that forecast issue. For now, enjoy this beautiful Sunday.
