A Weekend of Sunshine No Rain Forecast Next Several Days Warm Start Next Week
We are finally at the end of the week. Yesterday’s stalled front is now moving to the east. It has picked up Hurricane Larry which is on the upper right of the satellite loop and accelerating it northward for a landfall in Southeastern Newfoundland tonight. Dry air is coming in on the backside of the systems offshore. The result is a beautiful Friday of sunshine, cool temperatures and low humidity. Highs will be in the low to mid 70s.

As radars take a break for the next 3 or days we look to a very nice weekend. Both days will feature a good deal of sunshine so which day is better depends on your preference. It you like it a little you will like Saturday. If you like it a little warmer you will choose Sunday. Both days will be great with no issues.
Saturday’s highs will reach the middle to upper 70s with low humidity. High pressure moves offshore and winds go west for Sunday which means temperatures rise up into the low and middle 80s. The humidity comes up a bit but it will still be reasonable.
Next week sees us in a ridge position along the east coast for most of the week with a little denting of that ridge late Tuesday into Wednesday. This brings a backdoor cold front southward from New England but it comes to a grinding halt at some point and basically dissolves thanks to the ridge building back for the second half of the week.
The only cold front of importance arrives late Wednesday and that brings a chance for a few showers or a thunderstorm Wednesday evening. Other than that we have very warm and more humid conditions with sunshine Monday. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80s. Tuesday the back door and a few clouds in the mix will take temps down a touch, upper 70s to mid 80s. Wednesday will be back in the 80s until the front passes. The amount of rain forecast over the next 7 days is minimal which will allow our Henri/Ida soaked ground to do some much needed drying. Enjoy the weekend.
