Easter Sunday Looking Good

Looking ahead to the Easter weekend the weather look’s pretty good. We will see showers here late Thursday night and Friday morning and then gone with some clearing Friday afternoon. A cold front is coming through and it is likely that Friday morning we could see temperatures in the 60s to around 70 before the front passes. Then temperatures will fall off as we head into the weekend. There don’t appear to be any complications like the front slowing down. The only thing that will impact temperatures will be the position of the high. It will favor a flow off the ocean. However I think the air should be dry enough to support some sunshine on both weekend days.
Easter Sunday Looking Good GFS MODEL SATURDAY AND EASTER SUNDAY
The Euro model positions the high to favor more of an onshore breeze so we are going with that impacting temperatures. Highs should be able to reach the 50s both days though it may not get out of the 40s along the coast.
Easter Sunday Looking Good EUROPEAN NEXT MONDAY
The next threat of rain will come on Monday. The Euro model takes a deep low to our west and sets up the possibility of heavy rain for Monday. The low tracks to Maine and intensifies further which brings down colder air here next Tuesday. Tuesday and Wednesday next week set up to chilly days with highs just in the 40s to near 50. The table seems to be set for a very cold pattern to develop late next week as we head into April.
EURO MODEL LONG RANGE
The Euro model has a deep trough developing late next week and notice the big high pressure area developing off the Pacific Northwest coast. This will be the driving force for colder than normal temperatures longer term, though the day to day specifics are a long way from being determined. We will have a complete look at the long range later tonight with JOESTRADAMUS. Here is last night’s long range post.
