Long Island Weather Warming Up
The weekend is underway and it is going to be a very nice weekend indeed with sunshine and passing clouds and that’s just about it. The only differences between the weekend days for Long Island weather is the high temperatures. This afternoon’s highs won’t be much out of the 30s as cold air that moved in last night moves out quickly today.
Long Island Weather Warming Up Saturday’s Highs
Then on Sunday in comes milder air and with no worse than a mix of sun and clouds, look for high temperatures to be well up in the 40s. No rain is in the forecast at all. January goes out quiet and calm with temperatures for the month finishing about 1.5 degrees above normal which in my view is in the area of statistical noise.
Long Island Weather Warming Up Sunday’s Highs
Monday we will begin the month of February with tempertures into the 50s ahead of a cold front that will be moving through. The front comes through dry with perhaps a shower if at all as models seem to be drying out the line of showers ahead of it.
Long Island Weather Warming Up Monday’s Highs
Tuesday it’s an onshore flow and chillier temps in the 40s along with a lot of clouds. Then we have a storm heading for the Great Lakes which will produce a soaking rain here on Wednesday with highs possibly reaching the 60s briefly before it turns colder again by the end of the week.
